Kuch Khaas and The Institute for Preservation of Art and Culture, IPAC (http://www.ipac.com.pk ) bring you a six part series of concerts where you shall be taken on an exciting journey to discover the melodic brilliance of the Indian subcontinent through Classical Instrumental Music.

The classical music of the subcontinent is one of the oldest unbroken musical traditions in the world. Its origins go back to the Vedic Period (roughly 1500 BC to 500 BC).
Featuring instrument: Violin


The violin is one of the earliest Western instruments to be adapted to the classical music of the subcontinent. The introduction of the instrument to the subcontinent dates back to over a century.

The violin is one of the most perfect instrument acoustically and has extraordinary musical versatility. Come and experience a maestro who has received the prestigious Pride of Performance award perform on the violin.


Artists: Famous Violin virtuoso Ustad Raees Ahmad Khan (Pride of Performance) accompanied by Ustad Muhammad Ajmal on Tabla.
Setting: Indoor, Casual, floor seating

Contribution (at the gate): Rs. 500, Rs. 300 for students with valid student ID cards, free entry for accompanying infants.
